The draw for the 2021/22 Carabao Cup quarter-final has been made, with the London derby between Tottenham and West Ham being the headliner for the round.
The Hammers have been made to work hard on this cup run, having already seen off Manchester United and Manchester City, and they’ll have to topple another big name if they want to make it through to the semi-final.
Liverpool will be preparing for a reunion with Brendan Rodgers as Leicester City have been chosen to travel to Anfield. The Foxes won the last meeting between these two sides 3-1 last season, but Liverpool are flying high these days and are among the favourites to go all the way.
Speaking of favourites, Premier League leaders Chelsea have another meeting with Brentford to look forward to.
The Blues emerged victorious when these two sides met in the league just a few weeks ago, but Thomas Frank’s men were hugely impressive and could have easily won the game, had it not been for some heroics from goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Those looking for an upset will have one eye on the final tie, where Sunderland will look to fly the flag for the Football League when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Ties will be played in the week commencing 20 December, with four spots in January’s semi-final on the line.
