Everton have, on Monday night, seen yet another key member of the club’s squad forced onto the treatment table through injury.
Struggles on Merseyside
The subject of fitness woes has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines when it comes to developments at Goodison Park this season.
This comes with the Toffees having been forced to deal with a frankly alarming stretch of bad luck on the personnel front.
To this point in the campaign, the likes of Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yerry Mina, Jordan Pickford, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Andre Gomes have all been forced into spells on the sidelines.
And though not solely to blame, such woes must of course be taken into account when it comes to just how poorly Everton have fared over recent weeks, with the Blues, as things stand, sitting in a lowly 16th in the Premier League table.

Mina blow
As outlined above, though, on Monday night, the injury nightmare facing Benitez’s ranks has shown no sign of letting up.
Everton are of course currently locked in action in a Premier League meeting with Arsenal.
The Merseysiders, as things stand, trail by a goal to nil, after Martin Odegaard volleyed home in style on the stroke of the interval, just minutes after Richarlison had seen what looked set to be the evening’s opener disallowed for offside:

And adding to insult to injury, or rather vice versa, was a fresh fitness problem picked up by star defender Yerry Mina.
Colombian international Mina was actually marking his return to the pitch on the back of a prior injury this evening, but, just beyond the half-hour mark, pulled up with another issue, before limping straight down the tunnel at Goodison Park:
