Sergio Ramos is once again absent for PSG

Paris Saint-Germain will be without Sergio Ramos once again, as the Spanish defender continues to work on his return to full fitness, despite making a brief return recently.

As well as Ramos, PSG will be without Neymar, Julian Draxler, Colin Dagba and Presnel Kimpembe for the Champions League clash with Club Brugge on Tuesday evening.

Ramos made his PSG debut against Saint-Etienne on November 28, but has failed to play in either of the two matches since then – against Nice and Lens – due to what has been officially declared as muscle fatigue.

“Today is the first time that he can warm up, work with the team and do individual work in the gym,” Mauricio Pochettino declared in his pre-match press conference.

A never ending ordeal

PSG‘s medical staff have indicated that Ramos needs another three days to fully complete his recovery and should be fit to play in Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash with Monaco.

That said, the 35-year-old remains far from his best physical level, and it seems he will struggle to play two consecutive matches for the rest of the campaign.

Before making his PSG debut, Ramos had not played a match for 207 days, which was the longest period he had faced on the sidelines throughout his career.
