Dalot offers support for young United fan
Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot offered a kind gesture of support earlier today for a young Red Devil’s fan in the wake of their 3-2 win over Arsenal that was marred by acts of aggression from some of the traveling support.
Dalot responded to the Twitter post of the young fans’ parent who stated that Arsenal supporters had thrown coins into the disabled fans section at Old Trafford, with one striking his son in the head.
I’m sorry to hear that your son had to go through all that.. Hopefully he is okay now! I’m more than happy to invite you both for our next home game so your son can really enjoy what football is about ❤️
Can you provide me a contact so I can speak with you? https://t.co/mHAQdf7f6a— Diogo Dalot (@DalotDiogo) December 7, 2021
The Portuguese international jumped at the chance to show support for the youngster, offering to invite the pair of them to the next home tie at the Theatre of Dreams as well as being willing to speak directly to them.
It was a touch of class from Dalot in what was otherwise a very unfortunate incident.
Portuguese international enjoying a rebirth under new boss
With new boss Ralf Rangnick finally taking up his position on the touchline, some former fringe players under Ole Gunnar Solskjær have been given a new lease on life at Old Trafford and one of them is Diogo Dalot.

The Portuguese international has started the last two of United’s fixtures since Rangnick has taken up his new role at the club, his first two this season in the Premier League and the same amount he made across all competitions this term under OGS.
Dalot has the qualities going forward that are well-suited to the type of attacking football that the German “godfather” is likely to implement at the club.
That increase in status has thrown up fresh speculation regarding Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s role in the team after Dalot has impressed in one particular key data point; passes/90 into the opposition box.
In that stat, only Trent Alexander-Arnold, João Cancelo, and Reece James have better numbers than Dalot, and if that trend continues, he could find himself quickly becoming the new first-choice option on the right side of the defense.
