Bernardo pulls the strings
In the absence of Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish, Bernardo Silva has stepped up in a major way.
Two goals against Watford followed a mid-week strike against Aston Villa that was taken with the air of a man full of confidence.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola called match-winner Bernardo Silva “the best” after his stunning goal sealed victory at Aston Villa.

After a summer where it seemed that Silva’s future lay away from the Etihad Stadium, he has quickly become near-undroppable, an even more impressive feat under Pep Guardiola who, as fantasy managers know, loves to rotate his options.
He has started all but one of the Citizens’ games this season (the opening day loss to Tottenham being the only blot on his copybook), and has only failed to complete 90 minutes in two of those starts. Meanwhile, he has found the back of the net on seven occasions, the most in the City squad, and has provided an additional assist.
Records continue to tumble
Now, records continue to tumble around the Portugal star. Firstly, the win over Watford meant that the City star has the highest win percentage of any Premier League player in its 30-year history.
With a minimum of 100 appearances, Bernardo Silva has the highest win percentage of any Premier League player in history!

Then, he has created a new record, becoming the first player to be voted player of the month in three successive months for the Citizens, despite being among fellow superstars.

As per the club:
It’s the first time the monthly Etihad Club award has been won three times in a row, with Bernardo scooping 48% of the overall votes polled.
Can he keep it up and keep himself in the conversation with Mo Salah for the PL player of the season?
