Danny Carey ‘Tool’: Why was the drummer arrested at Kansas City airport?

Tool drummer Danny Carey was arrested after an incident at the Kansas City International Airport Sunday, December 12.

Airport police received a “report of a disturbance between two males in an airport terminal” around 7 p.m.

Of the two men, Carey was arrested and transported to a Kansas City Police Department station, though he is no longer in custody.

What’s next for Danny Carey?

The case, for now, will remain ongoing and may be reviewed by prosecutors for further charges if necessary.

“Regarding the request for body and dash cam video, our police force does not have this technology. The police report has been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.”, the police statement said.

Carey is from Kansas and played with the KU Basketball Pep Band at the Missouri vs. Kansas college basketball game at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence Saturday afternoon.

The durmmer joined the school band for a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire.”

Tool will return to the stage in 2022 with dates in North America and Europe to continue promoting their latest material, ‘Fear Inoculum‘.
