Everton fans send collective message to club’s board amid horror show vs Norwich

The Everton faithful have taken to social media in their absolute numbers on Saturday afternoon, to send a crystal clear message to the club’s board.

Idah amongst the goals

Rafael Benitez’s men are of course locked in action at present.

Amid a frankly abysmal spell of Premier League form, which had seen them slip to the depths of 15th in the English top-flight table ahead of kick-off on Saturday, the Toffees made the trip to basement dwellers Norwich City, eyeing a much-needed return to winning ways.

To say that the opening exchanges at Carrow Road have not exactly gone according to plan for the visitors, however, would be putting it lightly.

Remarkably, up against a side who had notched just 8 (yes, eight) total goals in the Premier League to this point in the campaign, Everton fell 2-0 behind inside the opening twenty minutes.

A Michael Keane own goal was swiftly followed by a further strike on the part of Adam Idah, with Norwich, as things stand, looking good value for just a 3rd Premier League win of the season.

‘Rafa out’

At Everton, on the other hand, the crisis continues to deepen.

If scorelines remain as they currently stand through 90 minutes, the Toffees will finish the day just six points clear of the relegation zone, and in serious danger of being sucked into a genuine battle against the drop.

It therefore shouldn’t come as all that much of a surprise to hear of the club’s supporters being absolutely up in arms across social media this afternoon.

One individual in particular, meanwhile, in the form of under-fire boss Rafael Benitez, has come in for the lion’s share of the backlash, amid widespread calls for the Spaniard to be sent on his way with immediate effect:
