Anthony Davis upgraded from questionable to probable ahead of Lakers at Nets

The Los Angeles Lakers will likely get forward Anthony Davis back on the court for Tuesday’s matchup against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

Davis has missed the last 17 games for the Purple & Gold after leaving the game early December 17 in a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center. Lakers have only won seven of those games to currently hold the 8th seed in the Western Conference standings.

In that defeat to Minnesota, Davis suffered a left knee injury (MCL sprain) that saw him struggle to stay on his feet as he walked into the tunnel. Earlier this week, Davis was listed as questionable to play against the Miami Heat, but did not even suit up for the loss at FTX Arena.

In the latest injury report by the Lakers, Davis was upgrated to probable for Tuesday against Brooklyn, who will be without Kevin Durant (knee) or Kyrie Irving, meaning AD will likely suit up, but be on a minutes restriction as he gets back in rhythm. Before the injury, AD was averaging 23.3 points, the fourth-lowest of his career, to go with 9.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.
