Egan Bernal walks again after horrific accident

Just over two weeks ago, cyclist Egan Bernal collided with a bus at more than 60 kilometres per hour, but the Colombian is back walking without external help.

He underwent several operations and spent almost two weeks in hospital before being released on Monday.

In a video shared by @Noticiclismo1 on Twitter, Bernal walked through a corridor without any assistance.

Doctors have said that his recovery is “stable”, though the former Tour de France champion posted on social media that he had “almost 20 broken bones” from the incident.
