Juan Cuadrado signs new Juventus contract

Juventus have confirmed versatile full-back Juan Cuadrado has put pen to paper on a new one-year contract.

The 33-year-old, who operates as both a traditional right-back and a wing-back, remains a vital part of Juventus’ squad. He has made 40 appearances in all competitions, 32 of which have come as a starter.

His previous deal had been set to expire in the summer, but Juventus have now confirmed that Cuadrado will remain in Turin for at least another 12 months.

Described as ‘unique and irreplaceable’ in Juve’s press release, Cuadrado has racked up four goals and four assists in 30 Serie A games this season – making him the team’s fourth-top scorer and third-highest assist provider.

His extension comes just days after backup goalkeeper Mattia Perin committed his future to Juventus as well.

The 29-year-old, who has managed 17 appearances for Juventus since joining in 2018, has put pen to paper on a new three-year deal to tie himself to the club until 2025.
