Hearts and Rangers will play out a Scottish Cup final trial run when they clash in league action on Saturday.
Rangers have already secured second place and will have one eye on Thursday’s Europa League final against Eintracht Frankfurt, while Hearts are guaranteed to finish third and will be using this game as an extra scouting mission before their domestic cup clash next week.
Here’s all you need to know about this one.
When is kick off? Saturday 14 May, 12:15 (BST)
Where is the match being played? Tynecastle Park
TV channel/live stream? Hearts TV, Rangers TV (subscriptions required)
Highlights? SPFL YouTube channel
Referee? Kevin Clancy
Hearts will be without centre-back Toby Sibbick, who joins fellow defender Craig Halkett on the sidelines after he picked up a knee injury in Wednesday’s defeat to Motherwell.
Long-term absentee Beni Baningime also remains sidelined.
Kemar Roofe is yet to return to training as he battles a knee injury. The striker is a doubt for the Europa League final and definitely won’t play here as Giovanni van Bronckhorst looks to get him back for Thursday’s European showpiece.
The boss will likely field a rotated lineup as he looks to protect his stars for the upcoming game, meaning the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Ryan Jack could be kept on the bench.
There will be no Alfredo Morelos, Filip Herlander or Ianis Hagi, all of whom remain sidelined through injury.
Rangers are the stronger side on paper, but in reality, this one won’t be a normal game and anyone wanting to use it to gauge the result of the upcoming Scottish Cup final look set to be a little disappointed.
Van Bronckhorst’s men have three games remaining this season and this is easily the least important of the trio, so his team selection will reflect that and Rangers will likely look a little disjointed as a result.
Hearts won’t give 100% to this either, with Robbie Neilson set to prioritise the cup final as well, but his changes won’t be as drastic. All in all, the two teams will probably be too even to separate.
Prediction: Hearts 1-1 Rangers
