ISL: Kerala Blasters extends Golden Glove winner Prabhsukhan Singh Gill’s contract till 2024

Indian Super League (ISL) giants, Kerala Blasters FC on Wednesday announced that star goalkeeper, Prabhsukhan Singh Gill had agreed to a contract extension with them, which would see him stay at the club till 2024.

Gill signed for Kerala Blasters in 2020 where he did not make any appearances for them in his debut season, with his breakthrough coming in in December 2021 when he made his debut against Odisha FC, as he was brought on for the injured Albino Gomes.

He soon became the club’s first choice goalkeeper and starred for them last season, making seven clean sheets in 17 appearances. His performances in goal led him to being awarded the Golden Glove award and ISL’s ‘Emerging Player of the Month’ award in February this year.

The 21-year-old revealed that it was an honour to extend his contract with the club and that he has a lot more to achieve in the sport.

“I’m indeed honored to extend the contract with this great club. The previous season was one of its kind. I believe the next two years with this club will be just great and enriching! I look forward to the next two years, two years of game, glories and battles! I have yet a lot more to learn and achieve and I look forward to it,” Gill said on the contract extension.

Gill becomes the fourth key player to extend his contract with Kerala Blasters, following in the footsteps of Bijoy Varghese, Jeakson Singh, and Marko Leskovic.
