Manchester United have endured a torrid season both on and off the field, and things are said to have escalated this week with two players involved in a brawl in training.
Team spirit is at an all-time low at Carrington, with players not seeing eye to eye after a complete break down in relations in the squad.
Now, according to The Sun, two senior players engaged in a scrap during a training session as other players watched on in shock.
The outlet states that other senior members of the team were shocked at what had ensued and had to pull the two players apart.
United suffered a shock 4-0 defeat away to Brighton last time out, leading interim coach Ralf Rangnick to give his players a four-day rest given that they have no fixture on the weekend.
Yet it apparently didn’t have the calming effect that it set out to, with tensions reaching boiling point during training.
It has long been said that cliques have formed in the Old Trafford dressing room, with a serious lack of team cohesion that has been witnessed on the field.
Erik ten Hag has his work cut out for him next season and it is evident that is not just a matter of getting the team playing well on the pitch, but also repairing a broken dressing room.
