The Hammers are currently sitting in seventh place and continue to fight tooth and nail to lock down a Europa spot for next season. West Ham vs Manchester City Odds
Odds as of May 13th at Barstool Sportsbook.
The visitors are heavily favored here at -275 odds and have an implied win probability of 71%. West Ham, on the other hand, is at just 11%.
City won the reverse fixture 2-1 in a tightly-contested affair back in November at the Etihad.
Over/Under and Spread
The over 2.5 goals at -195 odds likely offer value due to Man City’s goal-scoring ways as of late, netting 10 times in their last two Premier League matches.
Also, two of the previous three meetings between the Hammers and Citizens ended in 2-1 scorelines, both in the favor of the reigning champions.
West Ham vs Manchester City Prediction
West Ham’s form has been rather poor across the last few weeks, losing four in a row across all competitions before finally getting back to their winning ways on matchday 36 against relegated Norwich City. David Moyes’ men put their attacking prowess on full display, putting four past the Canaries in a 4-0 victory. Said Benrahma scored a brace to lead the way, while Michail Antonio and Manuel Lanzini also found the back of the net.
Benrahma, however, picked up an ankle injury in the Norwich clash and is a doubt for Sunday, which is a massive blow to the Hammers’ attack. Nevertheless, West Ham knows there are loads to play for. While a spot in the UEFA Conference League is likely a sure thing, the London outfit wants to get back in Europa after bowing out at the semifinals stage recently to Frankfurt. With the Red Devils having just one match left, ending the campaign in sixth place is still a serious reality, depending on the upcoming results.

City was absolutely shocked by Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinals earlier this month, blowing the chance at returning to the showpiece and finally conquering their European demons. Despite that, Pep Guardiola’s side is dominating in the Premier League as they shift their focus to winning yet another title. The Citizens have won five league games in a row, scoring 22 times and conceding just twice.
Mid-week it was a Kevin De Bruyne masterclass against Wolves, netting a hat-trick by the 24th minute and eventually finishing with four of his squad’s five goals in the 5-1 throttling. The Belgian leads City with an impressive 15 goals and seven assists this term and he’ll surely be delighted to know the club is getting a true No. 9 this summer, with Erling Haaland set to join. Also, Guardiola’s group is unbeaten in 12 fixtures vs. West Ham, winning 10 and drawing the other two. That’s a very positive sign ahead of a must-win affair.

West Ham vs Manchester City Pick
As you can see, City is missing several key defensive figures, However, Nathan Ake is returning at the best possible time and Pep should be able to pair him with Rodri at the back. The Citizens have also been lethal as of late in the final third, with a plethora of options for Sunday and De Bruyne in the form of his life. I personally don’t think West Ham will give them any issues, especially considering their recent track record against the Hammers.
The moneyline offers little value, though. That being said, I’m liking Man City to win and both teams to score. The hosts will find a goal against a depleted Sky Blues defense.
Pick: Manchester City to Win and both teams to score (+180)
