Eagles vs. 49ers: Best Same Game Parlay picks and player props for NFC championship game

Sunday’s NFC championship game between the top-seeded Eagles (-2.5) and the second-seeded 49ers is projected to be a close contest throughout with the current spread sitting under a field goal. As is the case with most NFL playoff games, bettors have a multitude of ways to wager on the game, including betting on the side and total, delving into the prop markets, or waiting to make a live bet during the game. For this piece, we’ve selected some of our favorite prop bets and put together a Same Game Parlay on DraftKings Sportsbook that will add some intrigue to the matchup.

If you’re not familiar with Same Game Parlays, SGPs allow bettors to string together a bunch of player, team, and game props into one parlay bet. While it’s certainly not a +EV wager, bettors who want to sweat out the NFC championship and potentially cash a lotto-like ticket can have some fun crafting their own SGPs from a combination of various proposition markets.

Let’s break down our favorite NFC championship Same Game Parlay and attempt to cash in with an 11-1 ticket to spice up Sunday afternoon’s battle!

Eagles -3.5 (+110)

We’ll start off our SGP with the Eagles’ alternate spread, taking the plus money on -3.5 instead of laying a juiced -2.5. Yes, the difference between -2.5 and -3.5 is significant, but we’re trying to increase our potential payout. Despite some late-season struggles, the Eagles are still a machine with Jalen Hurts under center, going 14-1 in his starts. They’ve also been at least a 4.5-point home favorite in every game since their Week 2 matchup against the Vikings, so covering an alternate line of -3.5 is familiar territory for this team. We think an Eagles defense sporting the league’s lowest drop-back EPA will limit Brock Purdy’s effectiveness, while Philadelphia’s offense does just enough to pull off a four-plus point victory.

UNDER 46.5 points (-110)

We’re not expecting much offense in a battle of two of the NFC’s best defenses, resulting in this game going UNDER 46.5 points. While both offenses are just as elite as their defenses, we think Sunday’s NFC championship is going to be a defensive-oriented game with a similar game script to last weekend’s 49ers-Cowboys matchup. San Francisco scored just one TD last week, and we’re not expecting the Eagles to put up another 38 points against Demeco Ryan’s defense. Unless both defenses give their respective offenses prime starting field position off turnovers, this game has a lower-scoring feel to it.

Jalen Hurts anytime TD scorer (+130)

Hurts is always a threat to reach the end zone with his legs, scoring 13 rushing TDs this season. We’re betting on him to score at least one rushing TD this week, whether he tucks the ball on a zone read or plunges in one of his unstoppable QB sneaks.

Kenneth Gainwell 12-plus rushing yards (-110)

Our SGP finishes with Gainwell recording at least 12 rushing yards. The Eagles’ No. 2 running back is coming off a 12-carry, 112-yard effort in the divisional round last week, and he’s topped 12 yards in three of his past four games. Gainwell draws a tough matchup against a 49ers’ defense allowing the second-lowest rush EPA (-0.168), but we think he gets at least five carries in a positive game script. That should be enough to get him to 12-plus rushing yards, hopefully resulting in an SGP with four green checkmarks!
