Reports: Magic trade Bamba to Lakers for Beverley, second-round pick, cash


The Los Angeles Lakers have acquired Mo Bamba from the Orlando Magic for guard Patrick Beverley, a second-round pick and cash, according to multiple reports.

The seven-foot Bamba is averaging 7.3 points and 4.6 rebounds for the Magic this season.

The Magic picked Bamba sixth overall in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Texas.

AP’s Tim Reynolds says Beverley is not expected to remain with the Magic.

Beverley, 34, is averaging 6.4 points and 3.1 rebounds for the Lakers this season.
