The MF & DAZN: X Series 004, on January 14 this year, achieved widespread fame for KSI and Salt Papi’s knockout wins. But the crossover boxing tournament is well remembered for some of the side events as well. Among the undercards stood a bout between American TikToker BDave and Mexican journeyman boxer Luis Pineda. Fans and followers might remember the latter as the second fighter, after Swarmz, whom KSI knocked out in a single day last year at London’s O2 Arena. Even the weigh-ins of the Super Middleweight fight amused the spectators, though some couldn’t fathom the comicality.
BDave, whose initiation into boxing began barely a few months ago, was not told who his opponent would be till the last moment. Nevertheless, the three-round bout went on the expected lines. The Mexican, with nothing out of the ordinary record of two wins against seven losses, won unanimously.
Per records, BDave’s first bout, which took place on June 18 last year, went for a draw. But six months later, he defeated Zack Bernardez. He will reportedly take on American YouTuber Austin Sprinz on March 4.
BDave gets a lesson in boxing
Hence it’s reasonable to presume that TikToker is preparing for the upcoming contest. But it appears his attempt to let fans and followers see him getting ready turned upside down.
Happy Punch promotions, found by popular YouTubers Keemstar and Fousey through its Twitter handle, posted a message today. It was tagged with BDave’s pic and a ten-second clip of his sparring session.
The statement read, “BDave took some big shots in sparring today.”
So in the photo, the American TikToker’s lips were unusually swollen. Perhaps fans and followers could make from the clip that he could barely withstand the onslaught from the opponent, who seemed more at home with boxing.

@champchimaev69, probably miffed at the clip, mentioned that it’s always advisable to practice with someone from your weight class rather than picking someone heavy.

@james1889sufc noted how Bdave left his face exposed. More so, he barely deflected the opponent’s punches. He is not a good fighter at all.
Not protecting his face. Not parrying shots. Terrible fighter
