Man United vs Real Betis lineups

Ten Hag would be within his rights to make wholesale changes to the team following the rout at Anfield. However, with United still looking to fight on three fronts in the season run-in, he will need to strike a balance between squad rotation and unsettling his team any further.

Casemiro is a slight doubt and might not be risked, especially as a booking would rule him out of the second leg in Spain, although the absence of Marcel Sabitzer means Ten Hag may have to take the risk with the Brazil star. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jadon Sancho could be brought in to start, while there are some fitness concerns around Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof.

Man United starting XI (4-2-3-1): De Gea (GK) — Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw — Casemiro, Fred — Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford — Weghorst

Man United subs: Heaton (GK), Dalot, Varane, Malacia, McTominay, Pellistri, Elanga, Garnacho, Mainoo
