FA Cup third-round draw: Fixtures, schedule in full as Premier League teams enter famed knockout competition

Manchester City will learn the first opponents of their FA Cup defence when the third-round draw for England’s premier knockout competition takes place on Sunday, December 3.

Barcelona-bound captain Ilkay Gundogan brought down the curtain on a seven-season career in England with both goals in a 2-1 final win over rivals Manchester United at Wembley in June.

That victory was part of a treble for Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering side, who also lifted the Premier League and Champions League.

Premier League and Championship teams enter the FA Cup in the third round and can be paired with teams from their own divisions, League One, League Two and remaining non-league competitors in an open draw.

Romantics will have an eye on who Maidstone United are in the third round for the first time since their reformation in 1992. The National League South team came from behind to beat promotion-chasing League Two outfit Barrow 2-1 on Saturday.

Below is a full list of teams in the third round and the numbers allocated to them for Sunday’s draw.
