Ryan Garcia vs. Oscar Duarte full card results, schedule for 2023 boxing fight

Ryan Garcia will make his move to super lightweight permanent when he takes on Oscar Duarte at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, on December 2.

After suffering the first loss of his professional career against Gervonta “Tank” Davis in April, Garcia is looking to recalibrate and get back to his winning ways. Against Davis, Garcia fell short when a body shot dropped him for the ten count in the seventh round of their blockbuster pay-per-view fight.

Since then, Garcia (23-1, 19 KOs) has made wholesale changes with a new trainer, a new weight class, and a new home state of Texas. The 25-year-old hopes that these changes will pay off and he can fight his way into title contention. However, his opponent has other plans to make a name for himself by pulling off the upset.

Duarte (26-1, 21 KOs) hopes to play spoiler against “KingRy” and prove that he’s on the rise. The Mexican fighter will be debuting at 140 pounds after scoring 11 consecutive stoppage wins following a split decision loss to Adrian Estrella back in 2019. With an 80% knockout rate, Duarte is a true threat to hand Garcia a second consecutive loss and put the young star’s entire career in turmoil.

The Sporting News will provide up-to-the-minute updates on the results of Garcia’s return against Duarte and the entire card.
