Ravens vs. Jaguars live score, updates, highlights from NFL ‘Sunday Night Football’ game

Baltimore’s rising.

The Ravens have hit their stride in recent weeks, stringing together three straight wins to climb atop the AFC mountaintop.

They haven’t all been convincing — Baltimore needed an overtime punt return to vanquish the Rams last weekend. But they are showing improvement across all parts of the game; Lamar Jackson has looked a cut above in Todd Monken’s style, while the Ravens’ defense is one of the best in football. Oh, and when you have Justin Tucker, you have perhaps the sport’s greatest-ever kicker.

Simply put, there’s a whole lot to like about the Ravens.

That’s not to say they’re infallible, though. The Jaguars (8-5) are hoping to follow the blueprint that the Browns, Steelers and Colts laid out earlier in the campaign. And the Jaguars will be hoping that some home cooking will help them snap a two-game skid, both of which of come to other AFC North opponents.

Ravens vs. Jaguars live updates, highlights from ‘Sunday Night Football’

(All times Eastern)

8:39 p.m.: FIELD GOAL! Justin Tucker tickets the nylon with his 42-yard effort as the Ravens open their scoring account for the night.

Ravens 3, Jaguars 0

8:36 p.m.: Jackson floats into the secondary after erupting out of the pocket. Ends up taking the ball 11 yards down the field to bring Baltimore ever so close to the goal line.

8:32 p.m.: Jackson standing tall in the pocket on a trio of passes to start the game, two to Bashod Bateman, one to Isaiah Likely. Great start thus far for the Ravens, who are already deep in Jaguars territory.

8:28 p.m.: Jacksonville blinks first, booting the ball over to Baltimore after being stopped on third.

8:26 p.m.: Lawrence hits Travis Etienne with a flip pass. Etienne does the rest, slaloming past obstacles to move the chains for Jacksonville’s first conversion on third down.

8:23 p.m.: Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars will lead the dance to start things.

8:15 p.m.: We’ve been waiting all day for Sunday night. I guess. Maybe? Either way, Ravens vs. Jaguars is slated to kick off any minute now. And it should be quite the showcase; Baltimore has a chance to punch its ticket to the postseason, while Jacksonville is hoping to snap its two-game losing slide.

7:50 p.m.: Here’s a look at the inactive list for both sides ahead of tonight’s clash. Newbie Malik Cunningham misses out for the Ravens, while second rounder Brenton Strange falls out of the lineup due to a foot ailment.

7:30 p.m.: Lamar Jackson returns to his home state of Florida for the fifth time in his career. He’s hoping to enjoy a bit of home cooking. Given the effectiveness of Todd Monken’s new offense, he very well could.
