What channel is Marshall vs. UTSA on today? Time, TV schedule to watch the 2023 Frisco Bowl

Former Conference-USA foes will clash when UTSA takes on Marshall at the 2023 Frisco Bowl on Tuesday night.

The Roadrunners posted an 8-3 record this season — including a 7-1 mark in conference — in their first year as members of the American Athletic Conference. They were a part of C-USA for ten seasons, from 2013-2022.

As for Marshall, the Thundering Herd reached bowl eligibility for the seventh consecutive season. They limped to the finish line after starting the year 4-0, dropping six of their last eight games, and secured bowl eligibility with a win over Arkansas State on Senior Day.

Marshall joined the Sun Belt ahead of the 2022 season, leaving C-USA after 17 seasons with the conference.

UTSA is led by seventh-year quarterback Frank Harris, the C-USA MVP in 2022. Harris will look to lead the Roadrunners to their first-ever bowl victory in the program’s fifth bowl game.

The Thundering Herd, meanwhile, will be without starting quarterback Cam Fancher, who entered the transfer portal in early December. Redshirt freshman Cole Pennington — the son of Marshall legend and former NFL quarterback Chad Pennington — is slated to start against the Roadrunners. The offense also boasts a dependable 1,000-yard rusher, Rasheen Ali.

The two programs have met three times, with Marshall leading the all-time series, 2-1.
