What channel is Patriots vs. Broncos on today? Schedule, time for Sunday Night Football in Week 16

The New England Patriots and Denver Broncos face off tonight in a clash to two teams with different motivations. The Patriots could be playing for head coach Bill Belichick’s job and/or a higher draft pick, while the Broncos need a win for a chance at the postseason.

The Patriots, who have statistically the worst offense in the NFL, have actually looked competent the past two weeks. New England scored 17 and 21 points over the past two weeks, respectively, after it failed to put up more than eight points in its previous three matches.

The Broncos, meanwhile, were riding a five-game winning streak and were almost keeping pace in the AFC West with the Kansas City Chiefs before going 1-2 in their past three games. Both sides of the ball had looked vastly improved as well before a 42-17 loss to the Detroit Lions this past week.

The quarterback play will be at the center of attention in this one.

Bailey Zappe should get another start under center, but his hold on the role could be just as tenuous as the man he replaced – Mac Jones. The fact that he’s led the offense to some of their best performances of the year cannot be discounted, though. The Patriots’ skill position players are severely lacking, as well, with tight end Hunter Henry and running back Ezekiel Elliott being the only few bright spots.

Russell Wilson looked like his old self during the Broncos’ winning streak before he turned back into a mediocre quarterback over the past two games. Wilson completed 71.64 percent of his passes and averaged 178.8 passing yards with eight touchdown during the five-game winning streak, but completed fewer than 60 percent of his passes for 633 yards and only four touchdowns with four interceptions during his past three games.
