Here’s a deeper dive into some of the key games. We’ll start with Saturday’s huge NFC matchup between the Lions vs. Cowboys.

Lions (11-4 SU, 10-5 ATS) vs. Cowboys (10-5 SU, 9-6 ATS)

Detroit captured its first NFC North title since 1993 following a 30-24 win over Minnesota. Dallas dropped its second straight game to an AFC East foe after a 22-20 loss at Miami.

The Cowboys are now a game back of the Eagles in the NFC East standings. Dallas has been a different team at home this season. In a word, unbeatable. The ‘Boys are 7-0 SU and 6-1 ATS at AT&T Stadium.

There is currently a three-way tie for the NFC’s top playoff seed:

  • 49ers (11-4)
  • Eagles (11-4)
  • Lions (11-4)

The possibility of points aplenty exists on Saturday. The Lions have played to the OVER  in six of their last seven games. The Cowboys have averaged 39.9 points in home games this season.

Dolphins (11-4 SU, 10-5 ATS) vs. Ravens (12-3 SU, 10-5 ATS)

Baltimore fired the shot heard ’round the league with its 33-19 win at San Francisco. The Ravens can clinch the AFC’s top seed with a win over the Dolphins.

Miami finally beat one of the NFL’s heavyweight teams in Dallas. The Dolphins have a two-game lead over the Bills (9-6) in the AFC East. Those two teams face off in the regular season finale. The Bills whipped up on the Dolphins at home, 48-20, back in October.

Miami is just 1-2 ATS as a road underdog, as the Dolphins failed to cover in losses at Buffalo and Philadelphia. They covered as a 3-point dog in the season-opening win against the Chargers.

Saints (7-8 SU, 4-10-1 ATS) vs. Bucs (8-7 SU, 10-5 ATS)

New Orleans is tied with New England for the worst ATS record in the league this season. Tampa Bay is playing some inspired football at the right time of the season.

The Bucs trounced the Jaguars, 30-12, on Sunday in a game that wasn’t that close. Critics are waiting for the old Baker Mayfield to show up, but Tampa Bay’s QB has thrown for more than 600 yards, six TDs and no picks the past two weeks in wins over Jacksonville and Green Bay.

The Bucs can clinch the NFC South with a win here on Sunday. The Saints saw their division title chances take a hit after a 30-22 loss to the Rams on Thursday Night Football.
