Who do Bills play next? Buffalo’s divisional round opponent set in 2024 NFL playoff bracket

Bills Mafia was treated to a home playoff game on Monday, and it did not disappoint.

In a snow-filled Highmark Stadium, Buffalo emerged victorious against Pittsburgh in the AFC wild-card round, handing the Steelers a 31-17 defeat. With the win, it marks the fourth consecutive postseason that the Bills are playing in the divisional round.

At one point this season, missing the playoffs looked to be a real possibility for the Bills. The team was sitting at 6-6 heading into December, on the outside of the playoff picture. However, Sean McDermott’s crew turned things around after the bye week, ripping off five consecutive wins to end the regular season. The Bills defeated the Dolphins in Week 18, earning the AFC East title while also locking in the No. 2 seed in the AFC.

Now, the team advances to the divisional round with a win over the Steelers. Josh Allen was sensational at the helm of Buffalo’s offense yet again, throwing for three touchdowns and another score on the ground. He did not throw an interception nor fumble the ball, marking just the third game of the year that Allen did not record a turnover.

So who is next for Buffalo? It’s a very familiar opponent that fans should be salivating for.

Here’s a look at who the Bills will face in the divisional round.

Who will the Bills or Steelers play in the divisional round?

There were a number of options for the divisional round, depending on the shakeup in the wild-card round. Here is who Buffalo has on deck next weekend:

No. 2 Bills vs. No. 3 Chiefs

With the Bills beating the Steelers, Buffalo hosts Kansas City in the divisional round. No. 3 seed Chiefs previously prevailed against the No. 6 Dolphins.

From the wild-card round to the divisional round, the No. 1 seed Ravens, who are on a bye this week, face the lowest remaining seed available. Baltimore takes on Houston after the Texans defeated the Browns.

The matchup marks the first time Patrick Mahomes is playing in a road playoff game. It also is the third time in the last four seasons that these two AFC powerhouses are meeting in the playoffs. Kansas City won the last two outings.
