This year’s NCAA women’s basketball tournament may be the best yet. The sport has seen broken scoring records, viewership records and attendance records in just a few months. It’s not stopping yet, as March Madness has its nickname for a reason.

Here’s everything to know about the 2024 NCAA women’s basketball tournament, from schedules and tipoff times to how to watch all 68 teams play for a national championship.

When does Women’s March Madness start?

The Women’s NCAA Tournament begins Wednesday, March 20 with the First Four, which reduces the field from 68 to 64 teams with play-ins for 11- and 16-seeds. The first round of the tournament kicks off two days later. 

March Madness wraps up with the Final Four on Sunday, April 5 and the championship game Sunday, April 7. Both will be held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
