NFL Mock Draft: Chicago Bears power up offense in 7-round mock

The Chicago Bears were out in full force at Caleb Williams’ pro day on Wednesday, all but solidifying the expectation that general manager Ryan Poles will select the USC quarterback with the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

But the Bears’ 2024 draft class will run deeper than Williams, even though he’s the Powerball ticket.

Armed with a second top-10 pick, No. 9 overall, Poles has a rare opportunity to flip the Chicago Bears from a seven-win team to an NFC North contender in one NFL Draft class.

Here’s my swing at what that draft class could look like in this full Bears mock draft.

Round 1.01: Caleb Williams, QB, USC

The 2024 NFL Draft begins at No. 2 overall. There’s no chance the Bears won’t take Williams with the first pick at this point. He’s aced every step of the draft process, from his authentic and composed demeanor at the NFL Combine to his loose and effective approach to his Pro Day.

Caleb Williams is the franchise quarterback the Bears have never had. That changes on April 25.

Round 1.09: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

Most Chicago Bears fans are hoping either Odunze or Malik Nabers falls to No. 9, and in this mock draft, Odunze is that guy. A big-bodied Larry Fitzgerald-lite, Odunze would immediately give the Bears an incredible trio of receivers with DJ Moore and Keenan Allen already in place.

Round 3.75: Kiran Amegadjie, OT, Yale

The Bears are showing high-level interest in Amegadjie, one of the top small-school players in the 2024 NFL Draft. While offensive tackle isn’t a glaring need in Chicago, the Ivy Leaguer’s upside may be too high to pass up.

Round 4.122: Austin Booker, EDGE, Kansas

The Bears won’t leave the 2024 draft without an edge rusher, and there’s even a chance a player like Dallas Turner (Alabama) will be the pick at No. 9 overall. In this mock draft, Chicago waits until their final pick to add Booker, who has good length and an effective first step to compete for regular reps in a rotation opposite Montez Sweat next season.
