Is Anthony Davis playing tonight? TV channel, live stream, start time for Lakers vs. Warriors

It’s all hands on deck for the Lakers as they approach the end of the regular season.

Los Angeles has enjoyed a solid, if unspectacular, campaign. The team holds to a 45-34 record, good for ninth place in the Western Conference as of Tuesday.

An automatic playoff berth seems unlikely — the Lakers are 1.5 games back of the sixth-place Suns with three games to go. But it’s not an impossibility. Regardless, if a Play-In appearance does beckon for Los Angeles, Darvin Ham’s side still will be looking to secure the highest seed it can.

To do so, the Lakers need production from all their players, specifically their stars. But one of those talents, Anthony Davis, finds himself in a precarious position as the season nears its crescendo. The All-NBA-caliber big has reportedly been dealing with an illness, according to TNT’s Chris Haynes.

Will Davis be good to go in Los Angeles’ Tuesday night clash with the 10th-seeded Warriors? Here’s what you need to know.

Is Anthony Davis playing tonight?

Davis is slated to miss the Lakers’ Tuesday night game against the Dubs, according to TNT’s Chris Haynes. He’s reportedly suffering from a headache and nausea.

Davis played just 12 minutes in Los Angeles’ last game, an April 7 loss to the Timberwolves. The Lakers ruled him out of the contest after he endured an inadvertent shot to the eye from Kyle Anderson while attempting a put-back dunk. Davis completed the dunk, but he looked to be in pain as he fell to the floor.

Los Angeles announced that Davis would be missing out on the rest of the game due to a left eye injury. He had already suffered a corneal abrasion one month earlier after Warriors forward Trayce Jackson-Davis hit him in the face. After leaving the game early, Davis met with a specialist, as his vision was hindered and his eye was swollen shut as a result of the injury.

“I just couldn’t see,” Davis said last month, via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “The corneal abrasion was actually right in the middle of my eye. It wasn’t like off to the side. So anytime I looked it was blurry. My eye was swollen. I thought my eye was like, [torn] open. But it wasn’t. It kept watering. It just felt like sand was in my eye.”

It’s unclear whether Davis’ latest injury is related to his prior eye issues. Either way, Davis’ absence could prove a pivotal factor in determining the final playoff and play-in seeding. The Lakers sit in ninth place in the Western Conference heading into the game, 1.5 game ahaed of the Warriors in 10th place.
