Yankees’ Aaron Judge sends ball into orbit on massive 3-run home run

New York Yankees star outfielder Aaron Judge may be in the middle of a somewhat slow start to the season, but he sent a ball into orbit Sunday against the Cleveland Guardians with a three-run home run.

In the top of the third inning, leadoff man Anthony Volpe worked a walk and Juan Soto followed that up with a rocket single down the right field line. It was The Captain’s time at the plate, and Guardians starter Logan Allen tried to get ahead with an 0-0 sweeper.

Instead, Allen threw a spinner in the middle of the zone, and Judge did what he does to baseballs, which is send them into orbit.

The mammoth home run came off the bat at 114 miles per hour and traveled 469 feet. It also gave the Yankees a 3-0 lead going into the bottom of the third inning.

When Judge hits them, he really hits them.
