Colts’ Kenny Moore welcomes Caitlin Clark to Indiana after WNBA Draft

Caitlin Clark was selected by the Indiana Fever as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, and it didn’t take long for her to get a warm welcome from another star from Indianapolis.

As soon as the card went in and Clark was announced as the pick for the Fever, Moore made sure to welcome Clark to the city of Indianapolis.

The Colts themselves also had a graphic ready to go for the moment Clark was selected at the top of the draft.

Clark is coming off a historic career at Iowa where she set a number of records both at the school and in Division I athletics. She’s currently the leading scorer for both men and women’s basketball and set the NCAA single-season record for 3-pointers.

Clark was the third player in Iowa’s program history to have her jersey retired. Meanwhile, the Fever are coming off a 13-27 season and haven’t been to the playoffs since 2016.
