Minnesota Vikings select Oklahoma OL Walter Rouse at 177th overall

The Minnesota Vikings had to wait until the sixth round to make their fourth selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, which they selected Oklahoma OL Walter Rouse.

The former Stanford product transferred to Oklahoma and played left tackle throughout his five years in college. He likely will shift inside to guard at the next level due to tighness in his hips and movement skills being relatively subpar. Dane Brugler believes that he could be a potential swing tackle at the next level and that is something that the Vikings need going into the 2024 season.

Being that he could be better at guard with his profile, Rouse is a nice get for the Vikings on the offensive line at the start of round six.
