Does Luke Getsy think Raiders offense is the best he’s ever been on?

After an unsuccessful stint with the Chicago Bears, Luke Getsy is now trying his hand as the offensive coordinator of the Las Vegas Raiders, where he takes over a talented offense that has a major question mark at the top of it.

That question mark comes from the quarterbacks, where Getsy will see either veteran Gardner Minshew or Aidan O’Connell take the reins once one of the two wins the starting battle in training camp.

Minshew has spent his career as a backup, while O’Connell is entering just his second season after seeing 10 starts during his rookie campaign in 2023. It’s safe to say there is a fair amount of skepticism about either being able to take the Raiders to where they want to go.

During the second day of OTAs on Tuesday, Getsy was asked if this Raiders offense is the best he’s ever been on. The offensive coordinator was not ready to say it was.

No offense to the Raiders, but Getsy is right to say that this offense isn’t the best he’s ever been on.

After all, the man had a Hall of Fame quarterback in Aaron Rodgers while serving as the Green Bay Packers’ quarterbacks coach and passing-game coordinator in 2020-21, and the latter season saw Green Bay finish first in points.

Now, if you want to compare this Raiders offense to the one Getsy had in Chicago for two seasons, we can certainly have that conversation and I’d take Las Vegas’ offense in that discussion.

But until O’Connell or Minshew prove they’re on Rodgers’ level and can put up the kinds of numbers he did, it’s going to be tough for this offense to match what Getsy had in Green Bay.
