Who won the NASCAR race today? Full results, standings from 2024 Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte

NASCAR’s longest race was cut short on Saturday, spelling a premature end to what promised to be as compelling an event as has occurred in the Cup Series this season.

The Coca-Cola 600, one of the crown jewels of the Cup Series calendar, draws disciples en masse, each hoping to witness some NASCAR history take place on Queen City’s storied asphalt.

It seemed as if such a result was set to take place. After all, Hendrick Motorsports star Kyle Larson looked destined to complete a Memorial Day Double — that is, participate in both the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.

That didn’t happen, in the end. Both races were afflicted by the wicked scorn of Mother Nature, who prompted a four-hour delay in Nap Town and halted the proceedings entirely in Queen City…just as Larson arrived at the pit stalls.

So, who claimed victory in Sunday’s shortened affair? The Sporting News has the answers.

Who won the NASCAR race today?

Bell took home the gold, holding off Brad Keselowski and William Byron to nab his second win of the Cup Series campaign.

Despite the abridged nature of Sunday’s race — it lasted just 249 laps — Bell impressed, leading the pack 90 laps. That’s to be expected from the pole-sitter, admittedly. But given the grueling nature of the run — drivers still had 151 laps to go when the red flag was waved — Bell’s performance was a steady one.

With his victory, Bell made headway in the Cup Series playoff standings. He figures to be a threat come autumn; after all, he’s nabbed Championship 4 appearances in each of the past two seasons.
