U.S. Gymnastics Championships results: Updated scores, winners for 2024 women’s and men’s events

The 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championships are here, and with it comes an opportunity for Olympic hopefuls to showcase they belong at the 2024 Olympic Trials.

Simone Biles will be the marquee figure on the women’s side of the competition, as she looks to win yet another all-around title and make her third consecutive Olympics. No American woman has done that since Dominique Dawes in 2000, but Biles can get a step closer to making that a reality with a win (or a strong showing) in Fort Worth.

Biles will be joined by three other women’s gymnasts who competed at the 2021 Olympics: all-around gold medalist Suni Lee, team silver medalist Jordan Chiles and floor exercise gold medalist Jade Carey. Fans will be excited to see those three in action, especially Lee, who has been hindered in recent seasons by a kidney issue that prematurely ended her college career at Auburn.

None of those three can clinch spots in the Olympics at the U.S. Championships. However, if Lee shines in her best disciplines — the beam and bars, the latter of which she didn’t compete in during the Core Hydration Classic — that will give her an edge in the battle for the five roster spots. The same can be said of Carey, who thrives on the floor and vault.

On the men’s side, Sam Mikulak is retired, so Brody Malone, Yul Moldauer and Shane Wiskus represent the three American men returning to action from Tokyo. Will they all position themselves as top contenders to return to the Olympic Games in Paris, or will new challengers emerge from a quality field of participants?

The Sporting News is tracking results from the senior men’s and women’s events at the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championships. Follow along below to see which competitors position themselves to compete at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials.
