Angel Reese’s perfect line after outdueling Caitlin Clark in dramatic 88-87 win

Angel Reese vs. Caitlin Clark was an epic rivalry in college basketball.

It seems to picking up right where it left off in the WNBA, as Reese and the Chicago Sky came from behind to finally get the better of Clark and the Indiana Fever for the first time, 88-87.

So in the postgame interview with ESPN’s Holly Rowe, the former LSU star told it like it was.

“I’m a dog,” Reese declared. “You can’t teach that.”

This is what makes Angel Reese such an awesome personality not only for the WNBA, but across sports.

“I’m going to go out and do whatever it takes to win,” she continued. “And every single night, my teammates rely on my energy.”

The Sky were down 82-70 with 6:38 remaining when Reese took over, finishing with 25 points, 16 rebounds, besting Clark’s 17 points, 13 assists, and 6 rebounds.

Rowe of course had to ask about the Caitlin Clark rivalry.

“Hey, this is just good competition,” Reese said with a smile. “I’m happy. I mean they got us. They got one up on us. I’m just happy for the team. I don’t want to make it about us.”

Clark also downplayed the rivalry all weekend, and the pair have been trying to diffuse it ever since Reese’s hard hit in their first WNBA matchup. They also consistently support each other on their social media accounts

It was obvious that Reese was happy to finally get the better of Clark, since the Fever had won the first two matchups.

Reese and Clark may want to down play it, but heated rivalries are what make sports great. We ask for more please!
