Four teams vie for a conference title at the 2024 ACC men’s lacrosse tournament in Charlotte, North Carolina, this weekend.
No. 1 Notre Dame glided through its regular season slate, losing just once en route to winning the outright ACC regular season title. The Fighting Irish will meet a stout Virginia team in the first semifinal; the two squads previously met on April 27, an 11-9 Notre Dame victory.
In the nightcap, No. 2 Syracuse will square off with No. 3 Duke; the Orange rolled past the Blue Devils way back on March 20, securing a 10-4 win in the ACC opener.
Duke, Virginia, and North Carolina ended the regular season heaped in a three-way tie, but the Blue Devils and Cavaliers earned a spot in the conference tournament by virtue of a bevy of tiebreakers.
The Blue Devils will look to defend their title after winning last year’s event.
